Seaside Cottage

A 2020 built (only two previous tenants) home which has been constructed with a minimal environmental footprint in mind, with insulated walls, floor and ceiling, slow combustion wood fire, Ecolet waterless toilet, double glazed windows and on-demand gas hot water heating. A roof-top solar system more or less takes care of the costs of electricity consumed with regular day to day living.

The 45sq meter dwelling is private and secluded, located on an internal block and with off street parking, as well as direct beach access to Park Beack. With polished Compressed Straw-board floors throughout, the dwelling is comfortable, elemental and captures the relaxed coastal lifestyle that typifies the Southern Beaches area.

The part-furnished house comprises two stories, with an upstairs bedroom accessed via a loft style ladder featuring a double bed with mattress, reading lights and opening window to capture the sea breezes. The bedroom also has ample shelving and hanging spaces. On the lower floor is the separate toilet, shower and laundry, with a front loading washer included.

The kitchen, dining and living area are combined, with the kitchen featuring a gas cook-top and oven, range-hood, large pantry and fridge. Outside, a covered veranda captures afternoon sun.

Ideal for a quiet, non-smoker single person or couple, the home is set within a natural coastal bushland garden, with a variety of local wildlife - and also includes a second outside shower for easy after beach rinse offs!
